Why have you included fruits and vegetables in the ZIWI Peak Steam & Dried dog recipes?

Dogs have adapted to eating a wide variety of foods, so we have added fruits and vegetables to provide a more holistic and balanced diet. Dogs are by nature facultative carnivores and therefore will consume various sources of fibre in a wild diet, including scavenging a small number of grasses and berries. They will also consume whole animals, which include some fur, hair and feathers. These are also natural sources of fibre.
